At HackOn, we have different tracks. Your project need not be focused on solely one track, it could be an amalgamation of several tracks. These tracks have been chosen on the basis of the problems we all are facing due to the pandemic, and how technology can be utilized in such cases.

  1. Healthcare and Technology
  2. Supporting At-Risk or Quarantined People
  3. Improving Awareness and Behaviour
  4. Working Remotely

IBM Tracks Special Prize :

  • COVID-19 : In a very short period of time, COVID-19 has revealed the limits of the systems we take for granted. The 2020 Call for Code Global Challenge arms developers, visionaries, and problem solvers with resources to build open source technology solutions that address three main areas: crisis communication during an emergency, ways to improve remote learning, and how to inspire cooperative local communities.

  • Climate Change : The 2020 Call for Code Global Challenge asks developers, data scientists, and other subject matter experts to create solutions that help halt and reverse the effects of climate change in our world. This includes solutions that concentrate on water sustainability, energy sustainability, and disaster resiliency.

FAQ

You can form teams of 2 to 4 people. Most teams aim to have a mix of people with both design and developer skills. Remember we won't accept project submissions from individual applicants.

A hackathon is an invention marathon where you can work with people around the globe to build a project related to technology! It isn't about hacking into a system, it's instead about hacking something together and learning a great deal in the process.

It's an invention marathon like the traditional in-person hackathon, but held remotely!

The event will be running for about one week from 11th April to 19th April.

Everyone is welcome to participate, be it, students, professionals or aliens from different Planet!

To participate, click on the "Apply with Devfolio" button. You will then be able to create your project once the hackathon starts. To be eligible for the judging process you'll have to submit the project before the hackathon ends.

We'll be reviewing submissions on Devfolio!

Absolutely not! The team behind HackOn is mostly made up of students, however, anyone age 13 and above can give it a go!

Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Nothing. Admission to HackOn is completely free, thanks to our sponsors!

Yes, we will be following the Devfolio's Code Of Conduct!

We have an active Discord for communication, along with a Telegram Group where you can ask for help.
